Obituary for Margaret Anne "Anne" Johnstone

Margaret Anne "Anne" Johnstone
Margaret Anne Johnstone

Anne was born on November 2, 1927 in Manitoba and passed away at Dufferin Care Centre on January 5, 2018.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother. Anne has no known living relatives but will be fondly remembered by special friends Dodie Anderson, Jenny and Cameron Wotherspoon, and her many church family friends at St. Andrew’s in Port Moody.

Anne graduated from the nursing program at the Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg in 1949. Her family moved to Port Moody in the early 50’s with Anne joining the nursing staff at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster where she worked as a staff nurse, head nurse and in administration until she retired in 1992.

Anne loved to travel, spending about 15 years she cruising and flying all over the world. Then enjoying months documenting all her excursions. She had a huge love and respect for the outdoors. She has left many happy memories for those who knew her well.

A service of remembrance will be held at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam, on Monday January 15th at 2:00pm.

Special thanks and appreciation to the staff of Dufferin Care Centre for their care of Anne.
