Obituary for Gertrude Harlow "Trudy" Marshall (Moss)

Trudy Marshall (Moss) October 6, 1902 - October 25, 2013

One week after celebrating her 111th birthday, our dear Mom and Nana died peacefully on October 25th, 2013 in Coquitlam BC. Mourning her death are son Charles (Caroline) Moss and daughter Betty (Lyall) Inglis, four grandchildren, Catherine Branch (Ward), Dave Inglis (Charlotte), Catherine Bauman (Randy) and David Moss (Mary) and eight great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her three stepchildren, Cleland Marshall (Donna), Mary Ann Bishop and Ruthe Thiessen (George) and eight step-grandchildren. Born in Caledonia, Nova Scotia, Trudy was predeceased by her husbands, Charles Moss and Dr. Arthur Marshall, her parents, seven siblings and a grandson. She nursed for many years at the Children's Hospital in Vancouver and was an active member of Como Lake United Church in Coquitlam. She will be forever loved, remembered, and dearly missed by her family and many friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dufferin Care Centre in Coquitlam for the love and attention given Trudy. A service of thanksgiving and celebration will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Como Lake United Church, 1110 King Albert Ave., Coquitlam, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation at www.heartandstroke.bc.ca or the charity of your choice.
