Obituary for Aurélie Marie Roy

ROY, Aurélie Louisa Marie (née Caouette)

Born December 16, 1934 in Morinville, Alberta, Aurélie passed away peacefully surrounded by her
children on September, 11, 2020. Predeceased by her husband Alphonse Roy and brother Gilbert
Caouette, Aurélie is survived by children Daniel Roy (Annette), Louise Fischer (Randall) and Henri Roy;
her siblings Emile Caouette and Laurette Fouquette; her grandchildren, Shaun (Kathryn), Melanie
(Jared), Silvie (Patrick), Jenni (Jordan), Thomas (Aline) and Justin; her great-grandchildren, Sadie, Sawyer,
Atticus, Lucy, Henry and Callum; and many nephews, nieces and friends. Aurélie and Alphonse married
and raised their children in Coquitlam, BC. They enjoyed socializing and dancing and were particularly
fond of family gatherings. Aurélie was ever the proud mother and grandmother. She was a woman of
few words but was quick to praise her children and grandchildren. Aurélie was also a woman of
unwavering faith who, even through life’s challenges and many health issues, never complained and was
an inspiration to those around her. The family would like to thank the staff at the Belvedere Care Centre
for the thoughtful care given to Aurélie for many years and for their kindness during her final days. A
mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on September 24 th at 11:00 am, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic
Church, with immediate family in attendance, followed by interment at Robinson Cemetery in
Coquitlam. Celebrant Rev. Father Mark Bautista.
