Obituary for Anna Marie Onarheim

Anna Marie Onarheim

ONARHEIM - In loving memory of Anna Marie born March 26, 1932. Marie passed away peacefully September 12, 2020 with her children by her side. Predeceased by Eric, her loving husband of 52 years, her sister Isabel and brother Bob. Missing her are her sister Ruth; son Chris (Tracy) and daughter Glenna; grandchildren Eric (Caitee), Shannon (Winston) and Cam (Jessica); great grandson Nikolai and many relatives and friends who loved and respected her greatly.

Marie was a people-person who made friends easily and always saw the best in people. She was non-judgemental, quick to laugh, intelligent and humble. She loved God and her life was a living example of one of many favourite Bible verses, Ephesians 4:32 – “Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God has forgiven you because you belong to Christ”.

Marie’s legacy will be felt for many years to come; she taught us to be kind, patient and compassionate. We will miss her tremendously and will think of her often with love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to Covid 19.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Confederation Seniors Centre in Burnaby, BC.

We each have our place in time that matters and makes a difference, and if we live right, we change that place for the better. Marie changed so many peoples lives for the better and is someone that will never be forgotten. Her great sense of humor and caring ways brought smiles to so many. May it comfort you to know that she lived a good life and made a real difference! There are so many thoughts in my mind as well as a real ache in my heart. I've sent my personal thoughts via the mail c/o the funeral home to share all that I want to say to you. With deepest sympathy and love, Shirley Hatch

Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back with treasured memories help comfort you tomorrow. We loved having Marie as a neighbor and enjoyed the times that we shared. Barb Hatch

Tony Bordignon

We were saddened to hear of Marie's passing. I (Tony) worked with Marie in the '80s at Buckingham School. She was a gentle person with a great sense of humour. (Eric taught me how to mix, pour, and finish concrete.) Our condolences to the family. Tony Bordignon and Darcy Campbell.
