Obituary for Betty Lynn Clermont (Blackmore)

BETTY CLERMONT - NEE (BLACKMORE)

August 5, 1944 - October 12, 2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Betty was born in the small town of Westburne, Manitoba, and at the age of 9 her family settled in Quesnel BC. This is where she met her husband Paul (Predeceased 1994). Together they moved to the community of Port Coquitlam and raised their children.

Betty was an incredibly dedicated employee to Interfor for 40 years, and during that time she created more than just work friendships, but a "work family" that she cherished, and was cherished in return.

A fierce follower of politics, Betty could overthrow any argument, we all knew this, and would bow down because we knew we were in trouble if politics came up.

Betty was predeceased by her parents William and Bertha Blackmore, and sister Ellen, and will be forever missed and remembered by her daughter Paulette, son Mitchell, and granddaughter Danielle with whom she had a very close and special relationship, life long best friend Diann, as well as her life long best friend sisters Fay and Wilma.

She also leaves and will be missed by brothers Bob, Dave and Jack and many nieces and nephews and co-workers and friends.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses in unit C2B at Eagle Ridge Hospital for their care and compassion.

No service by request.
