Obituary for Beverley Eloise Piprah

With great sadness we announce the passing of Beverley Piprah, also known as “Joy”, who died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family at home in Coquitlam, on Wednesday August 28th, 2019.

Beverley was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, the second oldest of a large, blended family. Here in Vancouver, B.C. Beverley was commonly referred to as “Auntie Bev” because of her popular, authentic Jamaican foods company but her true passion was her family. Beverley was a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She is survived by her husband George, sons Bernard & Lenny, several brothers and sisters, and her grand-daughter Kalina. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

She was bold, fun and courageous! Beverley loved to sing, share stories about her upbringing in Jamaica and most importantly advocate for disadvantaged people in her community; Later in life Bev and George enjoyed travelling around the world.

There will be a church service on Friday September 13th at 10:30 am at CA Church (2601 Spuraway Ave, Coquitlam, B.C.), reception will follow downstairs. Immediately following the reception Beverley will be buried at 1:30pm at Robinson Memorial Park Cemetery (621 Robinson St, Coquitlam, B.C.)
