Obituary for Cheng Yeng "Adelene" Wong (Lee)

Adelene was born during the World War II era and life was hard for everyone in Klang, Malaysia. Being the 5th child from a family of 12, she had learnt to respect her older siblings and take care of the younger ones. After her schooling, she went into nursing. Later, she found love and married her loving husband and started a family. When all was well and established, she and her husband uprooted and migrated to Canada to find a better life for their children. Though restarting their lives over again was difficult, they overcame obstacles and settled in this foreign land that eventually became home.

Adelene passed away peacefully on Thursday July 11, 2013 with her loving children and sisters by her side. After rounds of battle with cancer, she decided to return to the arm of the lord on a warm and breezy afternoon. Married to a loving husband for 40 over years and survived by children, son and daughter in-laws, and grandchildren.

Although far apart in Australia and Malaysia, her siblings remain dear and close to her heart. Her unselfish love for others, her passion to help others, her dedication and devotion to the family will be her legacy.
