Oh my, I just looked up Delphine (Dec. 2021) only to see that she passed away. I am so sorry for your loss. Delphine reached out to me years ago when I posted on the Internet about our family history… Kavanagh family in Windsor, Maidstone, Oldcastle, Ontario. Essentially she put me in contact with others who grew up with my father and his siblings. I saw some rare pictures of my aunts and uncles - young, laughing and full of fun. There even was a picture of my Dad and me… just amazing! Delphine even shared her family history and how our Kavanagh bloodlines overlapped. I obviously did not know her well but she seemed so kind, compassionate and loving. She was wonderful. I still have an envelope of family pictures and written material on our ancestors that she was kind enough to put together and send to me. That was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately i am unable to make it for aunt Delphines service tomorrow so i would just like to briefly send my condolences to the entire family in B.C. during this unsettling time.I know it must be a very disheartening time for you all.My thoughts are with you.I will certainly miss my aunt,but what i think i will miss most about her is the way she would always make me feel like what i was doing was worthy and important even if i myself thought it may have been nothing .I can still hear her voice telling me how good it was for me to be doing this thing or that ,whatever may have been going on at that time. So Red, Darryl,Julie,Marmie again ,my condolences.
