It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Derek Rutherford on January 25, 2019 at the age of 82. Derek was born in Sidbury, England and raised in Sidmouth, Devon. He came to Canada on his 21st birthday. He worked for many years as a tv technician. He enjoyed making and flying model airplanes, fishing, taking and editing videos and bowling.

Survived by wife, Donna of 52 years, son Robert (Zahra), daughter Maureen and brother Rex (Wendy); seven grandchildren - Jacqueline (Will), Chantal (Nick), Kristen, Julia, Kendrick, Jayden and McKenna; and three great grandchildren – Dominic, Hailey and Caleb.

A memorial service will be held at Eagle Ridge United Church, 2813 Glen Dr., Coquitlam on February 9th at 2 PM
