Obituary for Dick Lee
Dick Lee
July 14, 1937 – March 12, 2023
With great sadness we share the passing of our loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Dick
Lee.
Dick received his MD degree from The University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine and did his General Residency at Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary Hospitals. He met and married his beloved wife, Stella. In 1968, the family immigrated to Alberta, Canada where Dick completed his specialty in Pathology in 1971 from the University of Alberta. The family later moved to metro Vancouver, British Columbia where Dick joined Dr. CJ Coady & Associates working as a Pathologist until his retirement in 2002.
Dick loved to spend time in Los Cabos, Mexico where he enjoyed the warm sunshine, fishing, walking the beaches, and learning Spanish. He was very active playing tennis, ping pong and pickleball with his many friends. He also loved to read books, trade stocks, watch British and Chinese shows. Dick loved specialty Chinese teas, nice wines, good food, especially Chinese food, lobster and king crab.
Dick had a generous spirit and helped many people in his lifetime. He had a quiet demeanor and great
sense of humor.
Dick was predeceased by his father Lee Kwai Ling (1957), his mother Siu Wai Ling (2005), middle brother Lee Ngok (2019).
Dick is survived by his loving wife Stella, and their two children Louise (Jody) and Alvin. He is also survived by his youngest brother Hoi (Eva), many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
A very special thank you to Dr. A. Akbar-Zadeh, Dr. C. Sy, & the nurses and medical staff of W2B at Eagle Ridge Hospital who took great care of him during his final days.
Funeral mass will be on Monday, March 20th 2023 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Parish Coquitlam
(315 Walker Street, Coquitlam, BC).
Viewing available at 10:30am prior to mass. Lunch Reception will be served after Mass in the Church
Hall.
Cremation and Urn Interment will be at a later date.
