Obituary for Evelyn Ruth Morrison (Hilderman)
It is with mixed joy and sorrow that we announce the passing of Evelyn Ruth Morrison on January 14th after a long life lived victoriously, in relationship with the God who loved her. She is at peace in His presence now. Her husband of 46 years, Staff Sgt. Albert Morrison, predeceased her in 2001 just before his 70th birthday. Evelyn is survived by their children: Laurie (Rob), Scott (Nicky) , and Sherry (Thomas), and their grandchildren, Joël, Jacynthe, Jérémie, Tammy, Jasmine, and Tommy.
Evelyn was born near Rhein, Saskatchewan, at home on the family farm and she died peacefully in her sleep at the Shaughnessy Care Centre in Port Coquitlam.
We would like to thank the staff and management at the Centre for the loving, gentle and respectful care Evelyn received there in her last years of life. Evelyn’s sweet, thoughtful nature and her kind and loving heart will be greatly missed by family, extended family, friends from church and the community, and by staff at Shaughnessy Care Centre Park Place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
