Ian was born in Bangor, Northern Ireland and came to Canada in 1968. He was well known in the Pulp and Paper Industry across Canada. An avid sportsman, Ian enjoyed jogging, playing rugby and golf and watching all sports - in particular those involving his children or grandchildren. Ian was good-natured and had a great sense of humour.

Survived by his wife, Edna; daughter, Barbara and her husband Scott Braidwood; son, Andrew and his wife Tina; grandchildren, Cameron, Chloe, Marc and George; sister, Patricia McKinney and her family, sister-in-law Joan Mencarelli and extended family in Canada and Northern Ireland. If desired, donations to Diabetes Canada or Alzheimer Society.

Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm on Thursday April 25 at Vancouver Golf Club, 771 Austin Ave, Coquitlam.
