It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Shorten, 73, of Coquitlam, B.C. on April 25. He was predeceased by his mother Verona Shorten, father James Shorten Sr., and Brothers Rick and Bob.
Missing him dearly is his loving wife of 40 years, Lorraine. He was also known as "Papa Jim" by his daughters, Dana, Shauna, Donna, and Cathy, as well as his 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his caring sister, Patricia.
Jim will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, as well as his incredible sense of humour! He could light up a room and make anyone smile! His passions included spending his days with Lorraine, playing bingo, enjoying concerts, memories of his dog "Rusty", and of course, watching the Blue Jays baseball games.
The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at Belvedere Care Centre for the wonderful care they provided to him over the years.
Jim's beautiful bright light will shine in our hearts forever! Keep smiling Papa Jim!
