Obituary

Obituary for Janis May Cudmore

Jan was born in Duncan, British Columbia on September 6, 1946 and passed suddenly into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on February 24, 2019.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Keith, married for 33 years. Jan was the light of his life, a true gift from God as a helpmate, confidante and partner together in everything they did. Proverbs 18: 22 states “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord.” Keith was truly blessed with goodness from God with Jan as his wife.

There will also be a great void in the lives of her boys, Russell (Rhonda), Ryan (Karen) and Ian (Katrina) and her grandchildren, Mikayla, Alyssa, Emily, Breanna, Kurtis, Kyra and Annabelle and great grandchild Zachary who will miss the cards she sent for birthdays and Christmas. She will also be greatly missed by her sisters’ Fran (Tom), Dora (Gordon) and her brother Doug (Corrine) as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

Two Celebrations of life will be held for Jan. One in Nanaimo, B.C. and one in Kent, Washington as follows:

March 09, 2019 at 1:00 pm
Departure Bay Baptist Church
3150 Departure Bay Road,
Nanaimo, BC V9T 1C1

March 23, 2019
Eastridge Baptist Church
SE 240th Street,
Kent, WA 98031

Jan's last act of kindness was to donate her organs to help save the lives of others.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support the Transplant Research Foundation of B.C. at VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. Donate at http://support.vghfoundation.ca/goto/jan-cudmore, by calling 604 875 4676 or by mail to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation

I personally did not know Janis. Though, I have seen many people at Metro who cared about her. I do not know what it feels like for Keith to lose his love, the person he meant to spend the rest of his life with. You have my condolences Keith, and all the best for you to move on and start life again, anew.

To Keith & Family

Our sincere condolences to all of you at this very difficult time.
We were very shocked to hear this sad news of Jan's sudden passing.

We have many fond memories of Jan stopping in for a visit & also for her baked treats here in our Metropolitan office in Richmond & now Delta, B.C. Jan had a heart of gold and a smile on her face.

She will be missed by so many. :(

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

Jan is now at peace, no more suffering, no more pain.
She will be reunited with her loved ones gone before her.

My heart breaks for Keith, they were soul mates.

She will truly be missed but never forgotten.

Until we meet again,
Sincerely,
Barb & Stan Sandover & Family.
