Obituary for Joseph Yung Phen Lee

With heavy hearts, we announce that Joseph Lee passed away peacefully on November 16th, 2020 at the age of 65, surrounded by his wife and children.

Born in Malaysia, eldest son Joe moved to Canada in 1980 where he will be lovingly remembered by his wife of forty years, Julie, his kids Jordan (Christiane) and Julie-Ann (Eddy) and his adoring grandchildren Angeli, Aria, Lee and James.

He is loved profoundly by siblings, in-laws, other close relatives, friends that became family and life-long friends.

We lost a hardworking, generous, and lovable man, who will be sorely missed.

Cheers to you Joe!

Julie-Ann Davies

We were heartbroken when we heard of Joseph’s passing. On behalf of the Page family, please let the family know that we would like to express our heartfelt sorrow. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about the online service.  It was beautiful and the eulogy Jordan gave was very moving.

I want to apologize for not sending a message earlier, but I have been struggling with how to best express my feelings. I have been reflecting on the time that I have known Joe and your family and have listened and read the touching tributes about him. What I have learned was that he was a man for whom family and friends meant the world. I would have to agree with the comments regarding who Joe was. I will truly miss the little talks we had when I would be leaving or returning to our neighbourhood, his charismatic smile and his laugh was always so comforting. I had the pleasure to not only be his co-worker and a neighbour, but to call him a friend. He may not be with us anymore, but he will always be in our thoughts and hearts.
