Obituary for Laurent Bruneau

Laurent (Larry) Bruneau, passed away peacefully January 1st at the Royal Columbian Hospital. He was 80.

Laurent will be deeply missed by his wife, Henriette, his children, Anne, Denis, Doris, Rita & Leo, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Laurent was born in WillowBunch in Southern Saskatchewan on May 27th, 1936. While still a teenager he attended trade school college in Victoriaville, Quebec for one year. He then returned to Maillardville, where he met Henriette. They were married in 1958.
Laurent had a real love for youth. He was quick to find their interests and discover ways to encourage them along. He was active with the French Scout movement for many years & faithfully living his scout promise helped his children, grandchildren & others to grow.

Funeral services will be a Our Lady of Fatima Church located at 315 Walker Street in Coquitlam as follows:
Prayers, Friday, January 6, at 7:00 pm,
The funeral mass at 11:00 am Saturday January 7th, followed by a reception at the Centre Bel Age, Located at 1200 Cartier Avenue, Coquitlam, BC

The family would like to thank Dr. Chan, Dr. Birch, Dr. Mian and the staff of the Royal Columbian, Eagle Ridge hospitals and Queens Park Care Centre for their kindness and care.

Our dear, Laurent Bruneau passed on to the Lord peacefully at 7:10 a.m. this morning at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster.

We are gathered with his wife Henriette and his children, Anne, Denis, Doris, Rita & Léo; as well with his extended family and grandchildren today.




He was born in WillowBunch in Southern Saskatchewan on May 27th, 1936, and he will certainly be missed. We will forward the funeral information in the next few days.
