1959 – 2021
Laurie passed away peacefully on December 27, 2021, in the presence of her loving family. One of Hector and Irene DeGusseme’s 12 children, married 35 years to her husband Leone, she is survived by her six brothers, five sisters, four children and one grandchild. In her early years, Laurie was a care aid, and she continued to look after others throughout her lifetime. Later in life, Laurie enjoyed spending time caring for her mother, cutting her hair, and making lasting memories with her siblings in their family home. She was free spirited and enjoyed being in nature, down by the ocean. Laurie, a woman of deep and strong faith, had a giving spirit and was generous with her care and time she gave to others. You never heard “no” from Laurie. Laurie will be deeply missed, and always remembered.
As per Laurie's request, Please refrain from wearing black, instead wear earth or natural tones (Greens,Browns,Blues,Purples) to Laurie's Celebration of Life.
