Obituary for Lester Roberge

Edouard Romeo (Lester) Roberge died peacefully on Sept. 28, 2021. He was 90. Lester was born on May 29th, 1931 in St. Edouard Alberta, the son of Edouard and Celema Roberge and brother to Wallie, Marie and Emile.

Lester lived his early years in St. Edouard, Alberta before moving to Coquitlam, B.C. in 1942. Lester was a very independent person that enjoyed reading, praying, and meditation. He was well spoken and knowledgeable with the history of the Catholic faith. He touched many lives and was always a joy to talk to. He enjoyed dinners with family and friends, and really enjoyed having one or two glasses of Merlot wine. He was involved with the church and with the hospice society of White Rock/South Surrey. One of his favorite pastimes was to walk the pier in White Rock and to watch the herons along the beach. He also enjoyed playing bridge, cribbage and bidding whist.. He was always grateful to all those around him and appreciated anything that was done for him. He could not say "Thank you" enough.

May you rest in peace and watch your herons fly!
