Obituary for Lyle Gordon Cawthra
Lyle Cawthra, 62 of Coquitlam passed away suddenly Saturday, July 18th, 2020
Lyle was born on May 19th, 1958 in White Rock, British Columbia to parents Anne and Gordon Cawthra. Lyle graduated from John Oliver Secondary in Vancouver in1976. Lyle married Tani
( Campbell) in 1978, they spent the next 41 years together raising their 3 children and exploring everything that life offered to them. Lyle worked at Molson Breweries for 38 years before going into retirement in 2017. Lyle was an active member of the Local 300 Brewery Union. Lyle had a passion for youth sports and was involved in the BC Minor Football Community for the past several decades. Lyle also coached basketball in the Tri-Cities for several years.
Lyle was predeceased by his parents Ann and Gordon Cawthra and his father- in- law Frank Campbell and his wife of 40 years Tani Cawthra. Lyle will be lovingly remembered by his 3 children Candice (Matt), Amanda and Kevin, his three grandchildren Tyler, Conner and Kaitlyn. Lyle also leaves 3 brothers Ron (Jean) Daryl and Keith (Avril) and 1 sister Lynn. Lyle will be greatly missed by everyone he touched in his life.
Lyle was a selfless and caring father who raised his 3 children with Tani. Lyle enjoyed outdoor sports such as golf and fishing with his children. Lyle loved road trips and especially vacations to Hawaii. Lyle will be remembered by all as a loyal and strong man with a sense of humour who could find the best in all situations. A Celebration of Lyle’s life will be held at a later date.
