Obituary for Margaret Anne Aldersey Forsyth

It is with sorrow we announce the passing of Margaret who loved her husband Don and family more than words can describe. Her life brought much joy and laughter to all who knew her, and she will be especially missed by her five children, Lynn Walford (Tony), Lori McFadden (Don), Dave Forsyth (Carrie), Al Forsyth (Carolyn), and Jan Forsyth (Val), her thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Margaret graduated with honours in Classical Studies from UBC in 1951 and later taught English and Phys Ed at Richmond High. Her beauty and charm literally swept Don off his feet at the UBC Dance Club and subsequently they married in 1952. After raising their children in Coquitlam, they moved to Osoyoos in 1986 and built their dream home where they enjoyed golfing, managing a large orchard and often warmly welcoming family and friends. They loved to travel, and their worldwide adventures together formed many diverse friendships and interesting stories. Margaret was a loving, caring, and gracious person who not only shared her home but her joy of life that always encouraged others. She had a quiet faith in God that consistently guided her, and the law of kindness ruled her choice of words and actions. Her life was blessed and her answered prayers for the entire family are evident in their lives. We will forever love and remember her beautiful spirit and rejoice in hope we'll see her again.
