Marie Byrl Morris age 76 of Burnaby, B.C passed away suddenly on Sunday November 4th 2018. She was born to the late Joseph Padua Morris and Julie Philomena Morris on February 10th 1942.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved Gaston Dumas. Marie is survived by her son Michael Vanderput, her brother Alex (Glenda) Morris , sister Adeline and (Rufus) Fernandez, and brother Colin ( Lynette) Morris.Her brother Colin Morris unfortunately passed away on November 11th 2018. Marie was also survived by her nephews, nieces, and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.

Marie was born in Sungei Besi, Malaysia, and moved to Canada in 1979. She enjoyed her many years at the Fraser Institute, and valued the friendships she developed there. Marie had a beautiful smile and lit up every room she ever walked into. Marie had the rare ability to make anyone comfortable and loved whether she had know them for a lifetime or had just met them. When people speak of Marie they always speak of her as being a genuine, loving and caring person. A true testament of being a good human being is that the first words out of people's mouths when speaking of my mom is that they loved her and she was the nicest person they had ever met. Marie always lived life to the fullest. She always cared deeply about her family and all her friends. Marie requested to be buried with her beloved mother Julie Morris in the same cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that a donation can be made to the following; BC Breast Cancer Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, Church of St. Michael, and the Burnaby Prolife Charity.
