Marijke Roch (de Riemer) was born on January 9th, 1943 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Holland
She passed away peacefully on March 10th, 2021 in Maple Ridge, BC Canada at 78 years of age. She is predeceased by her Father Jan Henri Jacobus de Riemer, her Mother Luberta Jacoba de Riemer
Roodenberg), her brother Rudolph (Ruud) Jan de Riemer, her husband Bohuslav (Ted) Roch, her sister in law Alena Podhorsky and her brother in law Jerry Podhorsky.
She is loved and missed by her daughter Daniela Whitehead (Roch) and husband Lorne, her sister in law Wilhelmina (Willy) Divera Maria de Riemer-Bakker, her niece Marielle Johanna Handraads - de Riemer and her husband Marcel Hanraads and their sons Thijs, Bram and Daan, her niece Alena Podhorsky, her nephew Sander Jan de Riemer and wife Hayley de Riemer (Whitlock), her cousin Renee Meyrink, her dear and longtime friend Klaske van Loon and so many other nieces and nephews, cousins and great friends from her days working at SGS as a lab technician, her field hockey days and her days growing up in Holland.
Marijke enjoyed travelling especially with her daughter to many beautiful places. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening. Her hobby was photo scrapbooking always documenting her travels and special moments in her life.
A special thank you to the staff and frontline workers at Ridge Meadows Hospital that took care of Marijke, treated her with dignity and made her as comfortable as possible especially in her last few days.
