Michael (Mike) Robert L. Poitras passed away peacefully on March 1, 2019 at 58 years of age. Born December 3rd, 1960 in New Westminster. Mike was predeceased by both his parents Walter and Joan Poitras. He will continue to be loved and missed by his younger siblings Chuck, Andy (Lisa) & Darlene (Terry). Along with his six nieces and nephews that he cherished; Jacqueline, Candice, Heather, Andre, Taylor and Isabella. Mike will also be fondly remembered by his many extended family and close friends.

From a young adult, Mike appreciated Island living where he settled in Ucluelet, BC for many years, creating special friendships and loving bonds along the way until he returned to the mainland to proudly work as construction department member of IATSE Local 891. (2014-2019).

As an avid golfer, Mike was honored to become a member of the Long Beach Golf Course. He will also be remembered as a true a sports fanatic of golf, baseball, hockey and football by many friends and family. Mike enjoyed most his quiet times, spent reading his paperback novels and taking long hikes through the trails.

He is remembered as a private man with a heart of gold that has now taken his seat at the family games table. Our brother has gone too soon.
