Robert (Bob) William Richards age 61 passed away peacefully on Sunday August 27, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Bob was born on December 9, 1961 to Douglas and Arlene Richards in Vancouver BC. Bob grew up in Burnaby with his brothers Ted and Jim and sisters Susan and Jennifer. He attended Simon Fraser University where he studied Business and Kinesiology while also playing football for the SFU Clan.

After completing his education at SFU he went on to begin a nearly 40 year career in business. His keen entrepreneurial spirit led his successful journey. Bob began his career at Creditel a national collection agency where he quickly grew into the role of Regional Collection Manager. Ten years later he found himself as Vice President of CBV Collections Ltd. Bob continued to consistently succeed and apply his wisdom, expertise and integrity, directing the growth and expansion of the business. As President, Bob drove the company's success from a national collection agency to a global organization. Demonstrating extraordinary vision Bob led CBV to become an industry leader in debt purchase and customer care call centers.

A fervent sports enthusiast, Bob was a diehard Seahawks fan and enjoyed golfing, fishing, biking, boating and shared many cherished memories travelling with his family to Maui, Bob's favourite place on earth.
He held the roles of beloved husband, devoted dad, uncle, brother, son and friend. Predeceased by his parents Doug and Arlene Richards. Deeply loved and missed by his devoted wife of 28 years Teresa, his cherished children, sons Chris (Alisha), Tyler and daughter Cassidy (Caleb), his 4 siblings, 15 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews.

Bob will always be remembered for his sacrificial heart, his courage and warm smile, his steadfast winsome spirit, his strength and kindness, great advice, positive attitude and deep love for his family.
Bob did everything with excellence and honesty, honouring his faith and entrusting all his battles and achievements to God.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12pm on Saturday October 7, 2023 at Riverside Community Church 2329 Fremont Connector Port Coquitlam. Reception to follow.
