Obituary for Robert Lorne Richardson

Robert (Bobby) Lorne Richardson September 18, 1935 - December 12, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we announce, our Dad Robert (Bobby) Lorne Richardson passed away peacefully in his sleep, in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. Bobby, as he was affectionately known, was born in Fort Williams, Ontario and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Bobby is survived by his sister Barbara Priest, his children, Cindy (Bruce), Lori, Kim, Kelly, Allen (Jody), and Mike. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Chris, Shaun, Adam, Taylor, Shelby, Haley, Rayna, Michael, Preston, and David who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Bobby was also blessed with the presence of his great-grandchildren, Declan, Everett, Oakley, and Huxley, who brought an extra sparkle to his eyes. Bobby was predeceased by his first wife, Evon, and his second wife, Dorothy, both of whom held a special place in his heart. Their memories will forever be cherished by Bobby’s family and friends. Throughout his life, Bobby found solace and joy in his hobbies. He had a passion for riding his bike, feeling the wind against his face as he explored the world around him. The freedom he experienced on those two wheels was a source of immense happiness. Bobby also enjoyed spending time playing pool and chess, engaging in friendly competition with friends and family. These activities provided him with moments of relaxation and camaraderie that he treasured deeply. Bobby will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, always offering a helping hand to those in need. He had a warm smile that could light up a room and a heart full of love for his family. Bobby’s presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held March 23, 2024, allowing family and friends to come together and honor his memory. May you find eternal peace, Bobby, as you embark on your next journey. Rest in serenity, knowing that your love and legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved you.
