Obituary for Sandy Edward Addison

Sandy Edward Addison, beloved son, brother and uncle, was born in Weyburn Saskatchewan and passed away suddenly yet peacefully on September 11, 2022. Predeceased by his father Alfred, Sandy will be deeply missed by his mother Jean, his brothers Clifford (Tricia) and Daniel (Gloria), nephew Graeme and niece Megan. Sandy is also fondly remembered by his many cousins, dear friends, colleagues and clients.

Sandy resided in Kelowna during his early life and moved to Vancouver where he graduated with a degree from Simon Fraser University. Careers in healthcare and finance brought many additional friends and clients to his life for which he provided the utmost care and compassion.

Sandy was a devoted gamer either with figurines or on the computer. His regular Friday evening gaming group will sorely miss the worlds he created as a Gamemaster. He spent many a weekend with his father at the Parksville Qualicum Fish and Game archery range. He made quite a "splash" regularly swimming laps at the local pool, his favourite form of exercise. He self-published a number novels and novelas, quite the feat for someone with severe dyslexia.

A celebration of life will take place at a future date when relatives and friends can travel safely from abroad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders.
