Obituary for Shane Francis Paterson
A beautiful spirit, Shane Francis Paterson, lovingly known as Francis Freedom Freeman, passed away on November 6, 2023 at the age of 49. He was born on April 22, 1974 in Oshawa, Ontario. Shane grew up in Haliburton, Ontario. He had a deep connection to his hometown and cherished the memories he made there.
He is survived by his children, Josie, Kyla, and Austen and his beloved granddaughter, Rylee. They were the light of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and guidance for them.
Shane embraced music and saw himself as a poetical spiritual gardener. He took great pride in his work on various buildings, including churches. With his hardworking nature and creative spirit, he left a lasting impact on those around him. He had a wonderful sense of humor that brightened the lives of those he encountered. His caring nature touched the hearts of many, making him a cherished friend and family member.
He is survived by his mother Sonya Paterson, his father Wayne Bushey, his brother Blake, his sister Jeannie, his nephews Isaiah and Jacob, and his nieces Chanel and Emma. Although his brother David is no longer with us, we can imagine the joyous reunion as they create beautiful music together in a place beyond our reach.
