Sheila Mary Shwaykoski (née Fahy)
September 4, 1931 - January 5, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Sheila Mary Shwaykoski announces her passing on January 5, 2024 at Royal Columbian Hospital at the age of 92. Survived by her daughters, Faye (Kevin) Drover, Penny Burke, Janice (Barry) Pierce. Grandchildren, Jayme, Allison, Brooke, Spencer, and great grandchildren Keaton and Jayda. Her brother Bernie Fahy, many nieces and nephews, and son in law Jack Carlson. Predeceased by her husband Alex Shwaykoski, mother Martha Spillman, father James Fahy, and the love of her life, Gerry Benham. Sheila was a founding member and Director of the original BCFM Society, a volunteer with Century House, and the Seniors Society. She loved all animals, tending her plants, and spending quality time with friends and family. Her motto was to help others whenever you could, smile, and let people know that you care. No service by request. Remember Sheila with a glass of wine, and in place of flowers, please make a donation to those who are in need, as she herself so often did.
