Obituary for Teresa Suk Han Kwok
It is with great sadness that on December 4th, 2023, our beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother Teresa Kwok passed away peacefully at the Burnaby Hospital at the age of 73.
Teresa, Cheung Suk Han was born in Hong Kong and was the eldest child of Cheung Yau and Kwan Siu Fun. She grew up in Kowloon and developed a passion for Chinese opera at an early age. She graduated from Hwa Kin College of Commerce & Engineering with a Bachelor of Education and pursued a career in teaching elementary school kids. Teresa moved to Canada with her family in 1989 where she continued to be a part-time Chinese school teacher for more than eleven years. She was a great role model and was adored by her students.
Teresa was a devoted partner and soulmate to her husband of 47 years. To her children, she was always the loving and caring mother putting their needs before her own. To her two young grandsons, she was the patient grandma who made learning about Chinese literature fun.
Teresa will be deeply missed by her husband, Aloysis and three children Gregory, Dominica and Clare, son-in-law, Andy Yang and grandsons, Jayden and Carl Yang. She will also be forever remembered by her siblings, Maria and Eddie Cheung.
A private Roman Catholic Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Parish on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. (315 Walker Street, Coquitlam, BC).
