Shawn Thomas Myles
October 28 1968 - September 1 2023
We are deeply saddened to share that Shawn has passed away. Shawn had a lifelong faith in God and was baptised twice in his life, once as a baby and more recently in 2012. This brings great comfort to his family and friends.
Shawn was born in Placentia Bay Newfoundland. He was predeceased by his parents Tom and Joan Myles and Nephew Daniel. Shawn leaves behind Brother Tim(Sue) and their children Dustin, Jennifer and Tiffany, Sisters Janette(Kim) and Roxanne. Girlfriend Nikki Browne and their dog Max, his dear friend Shayne Lawson and so many special friends will miss him dearly.
He was a kind and gentle man who was loving and thoughtful towards his family. Countless times he was there to lend a helping hand or encouraging word. He had a terrific sense of humor, was mischievious and loved to laugh. Shawn had a special love and bond with all of his dogs.
From a young age Shawn had a natural curiousity in the mechanics of clocks and radios. He was often seen tinkering and taking things apart to see how they worked. As time passed his interests included pyrotechnics and target shooting. Shawn was an outdoor enthusiast and loved to be surrounded by nature. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding and riding motorcycles.
Over the past decade Shawn worked as a long distance truck driver. He had logged many miles driving all over Canada and quite often with a dog at his side.
Shawn had a special place in his heart for the natural beauty of Norrish Creek in Mission BC. He was known to say that he would like to have his ashes sprinkled there and we plan to honor Shawn's wishes.
