It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Kenneth Sitter announces his passing on December 28th 2023 at Eagle Ridge Hospital at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Welcher) Sitter of 62 years, son Mark Sitter, along with grandchildren Danny and Angelee Sitter. Tom was born and raised in Moosejaw Sask and was the eighth of nine children. He was an avid sailor and loved spending time sailing at his summer home on Shuswap lake. Tom was known amongst friends and family for his generosity, wit, and his love for telling a good joke. He also loved to do the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle every weekend in the Vancouver Sun newspaper. Tom had a sensitive side to him displayed by his love of animals, especially the several family dogs owned over the years, and his love for children, which he demonstrated by his choice to work in education. A funeral mass for Tom will be held this coming Friday January 19th at 10:30 am at All Saints Parish in Coquitlam. A reception will be held immediately following the funeral service in the church hall.
