Obituary for Yung Foo Tin
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Father, TIN, Yung Foo, aged 88 in the morning of May 18, 2022 Wednesday in Port Moody, B.C. Canada.
He was predeceased by his parents, TIN, Wai Fong and TAI, Ming Chut, his wife WONG Yiu Kwei, his younger brother, Joseph TIN and his younger sister, TIN, Choi Ha.
He was born in Hong Kong and has spent his entire working life there operating a shop at Lockhart Road and later at Electric Road named Fidelity Trading Company. He was a quiet entrepreneur, and his greatest joy then was to watch movie, hiking, play mahjong and gathering with family. He had chosen to retire in Vancouver with all his children and landed in May 1991 and had spent the remainder of his life by himself in Port Moody.
He was an active volunteer in 509 Hastings Street for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. senior centre and was awarded outstanding volunteer. He truly was a kindhearted man who gave the best education possible to all his children. His children never saw the slightest anger in his face but only smiles and cheer.
He had talents in drawings and enjoyed doing it for the senior center. He was
baptized in 2003 and now has ended his journey after 88 years to rest in peace in
the arms of God.
Our beloved Father is survived and missed by his eldest son William and his wife Peggy, his youngest son, Albert and his wife Salina, his daughters, Diana, Emily and his youngest daughter Amy and her husband, Jacky. He leaves behind also his grandchildren, Fione, Enoch, Amiel and Janice.
He leaves behind also numerous cousins and close relatives, both in Hong Kong, China, Canada and United States of America.
To Dad, we remember all the good times with you.
