Alma Deegan

Alma Isabel Deegan (nee Dore)
Born Feb 8, 1922 in Southampton New Brunswick
Passed away peacefully on July 15, 2015 at the age of 93 at the Belvedere Care Centre.
Alma is predeceased by her parents, her brother and sisters and her husband. She is survived by and will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and step family. Alma was an avid health enthusiast and would walk everywhere. Alma moved to Ottawa after graduating from high school in New Brunswick. In Ottawa she worked for CIBC. After ten years in Ottawa she moved to Vancouver to advance her career. In Vancouver, Alma moved up through CIBC management until she was the Assistant Manager of the Personal Loans Department. This was quite an accomplishment for a female at that time. Alma was a member of the International Credit Women and she retired in 1981. Alma enjoyed travelling and she visited every continent except Asia and Antarctica. A graveside service will be held later at Mountain View Cemetery. The family would like to thank all of the caring staff at the Belvedere Care Centre which has been her home for the last two years.
