Anna Friesen Lang—1924-2015
Anna passed away at the Renfrew Care Centre on March 15 and into the arms of her Saviour, Jesus after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born in the Kooteneys in a small orchard community of Renata. Life was hard during the Depression and early post-war years, but she worked hard and graduated from Prairie Bible College, and later in life became an LPN and then a Dental Hygienist.
In 1975 she married Glen Lang of Coquitlam and after they retired, traveled extensively at home and abroad, but always took care to be regular and loyal to their local church. Glen pre-deceased her as did his daughter Judith (Glen). She leaves to mourn her step-children, Gloria (Ronald), Glenda (Darryl), 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In the Friesen family she is pre-deceased by her brother Menno as well as her sisters Helen and Marie, but leaves to mourn her brothers, Bernard (Tennessee) George (Seattle) and Benno (Surrey).
Interment will be at Robinson Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
The Lang and Friesen families wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Renfrew for taking such good care of our grandmother, mother and sister.
