Anna Manning

October 25, 1925 — April 7, 2024

Anna was born in St Boniface, Manitoba. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 7, 2024 at the age of 98 years young. She was predeceased by her six siblings: Adelard, Joseph, Charles, Arthur, Emmanuella and Alice, as well as, her first husband Antoine (Tony) Lemire in 1990, her second husband Arthur (Art) Manning in 2016, stepson Kim Manning and stepdaughter-in-law Sharlene Manning. Anna is loved and missed by her children: Claudette (Gerry), Jeanne (Bob), Paul (Trish), Diane (Louis); Art’s children: Garry, Craig (Leslie), Todd (Gail), as well as 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous extended family.

Anna worked as a nurse’s aide and as a riveter at MacDonald Aircraft in Manitoba and also worked at Boeing Aircraft when she moved out west.

She enjoyed many travels to all-inclusive resorts and cruises. Anna embraced the opportunities at a game of Scrabble, Bingo, Blackjack or Tile Rummy, a trip to the Casino, and of course cheering on her beloved Vancouver Canucks! Her eyes would light up with gifts of Lottery “scratchies” and word search books.

Special thanks to the outstanding staff at the Emergency Department and Ward 2CA at Eagle Ridge Hospital, and to Anna’s many friends and wonderful staff at The Astoria.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
