Athanasios Sakellariou

Athanasios (Tom) Sakellariou, 80, of Coquitlam, BC, succumbed to cancer in the comfort of his own home surrounded by family on October 14, 2018.

Tom is survived by his wife Janny of 54 years, sons Peter, Perry (Michelle), John, daughter Mia (Adam)and grandchildren Tyler, Ashley, Jennifer, Thomas, Selena, sisters-in-law Anastasia and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Tom was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the nurses and doctors at the Pallative Unit of Burnaby General Hospital, Eagle Ridge Hospital, BC Cancer and the Tri-City Home Care nurses for all their care and support.

Also, the family would like to thank the Burquitlam Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.

Prayers will be held at Saints Nicholas and Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church in Vancouver on Wednesday October 31st at 7pm. Funeral services will also be at Saints Nicholas and Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church on November 1st at 11:30am. Tom will be laid to rest at the Robinson Memorial Park Cemetery in Coquitlam.
