Brianna De Carlo

August 21, 1984 — December 26, 2016

In Loving Memory of
Brianna Rachel De Carlo
August 21, 1984 - December 26, 2016

Brianna was born on August 21, 1984 to Kerry Koski and Richard De Carlo in New Westminster, BC. She grew up in Coquitlam, BC, the youngest of 3 girls who were very close. Though tiny when born, she had a big personality and was a force to be reckoned with. Bri was fun, energetic, caring, and loyal. She loved her friends and family with all her heart. She took care of her pets like they were her human children. Growing up, her best friend was her beloved dog Mika. Bri's most recent furry babies were her dogs Theodore and Tucker, whom she took everywhere.

Bri loved physical fitness and being outdoors. In her youth, she joined softball and kickboxing. She enjoyed hiking, running with Mika, and camping at Weaver Lake with her family, as well as camping at Tulameen with her many friends after graduating from Centennial Secondary School with honours in 2002. Bri loved learning new things. She was in French Immersion at Maillard Middle School. She enjoyed working as a lab assistant at Centennial for 2 years. She was a hard worker no matter what she did.

Bri began working in Housekeeping at Royal Columbian Hospital in 2006. She took First Aid and CPR training and completed the Health Care Support Worker program at Douglas College in 2009. She completed an Acute Care skills certificate at Pacific Coast Community College in 2011. Bri worked as a Health Care Aide for 7 years. She had long-term 1:1 clients with whom she worked in their homes. Most recently, she worked as a Health Care Aide for over 1 year at the Good Samaritan Society Victoria Heights Assisted Living, where she was dearly loved by staff and residents.

Bri had a warm smile that could light up a room and eyes that sparkled saying she still believed she could overcome everything. She was a spiritual person and an inspiration to so many people. Her Facebook page says it best: "I'm unlike anyone you will EVER meet!!!!"

Brianna will be greatly missed by her sisters Sandra & Lisa, nieces Dakoda & Sayda, nephew Kaden, cousins Tara, David, Richard, Stacie, Aurora, Matthew, Sierra, Danika, Isabella, Melody, & Meli, aunties Valerie, Kathryn, Holly, Tina, & Louisa, uncles Tracy, Terry, Stewart, Francois, & Paul, grandparents Edith, Dennis, Claire, & Michel, best friend Sean, furry sons Theodore & Tucker, and countless friends.

John 5:28-29 ~ Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.
