Catharina Aniba

Catharina Johanna Van Leeuwen was born in Leiden, Netherlands on October 3, 1924. She passed away on August 25, 2014 after a heroic three year battle with cancer. Catharina’s enjoyments in life were family and good friends, traveling, biking and reading. Her husband of 53 years, William, passed away 7 years ago. She is survived by daughter Ingrid, son-in-law Gerardo; daughter Yvonne, son-in-law Mike; son William (Bill) and daughter-in-law Debbie; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The eighth grandchild has been named Catherine in her honor. The family wishes to thank the staff at BC Cancer Agency and Peace Arch Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Clinic and Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
