Cathie was born in Balmaclellan, Scotland on September 22, 1928 and passed away peacefully on September 8, 2015 at Normanna Rest Home, Burnaby. Cathie leaves us to join her husband Murray Roxburgh and her parents, James and Agnes Murray. She is survived by her sister Margaret Squire (George) and many nieces and nephews. Cathie loved life and enjoyed many happy times with friends and family, traveling, reading, gardening, entertaining and always had open arms for anyone in need.
A celebration of this wonderful life will be held on Monday September 28, 2015 at West Burnaby United Church, 6050 Sussex Avenue, Burnaby at 1:00 PM. Cathie was cared for with warmth and kindness by the staff at Normanna over the past three years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Normanna Rest Home at 7725 4th St, Burnaby, BC V3N 5B6 or the Burnaby Hospital, 3935 Kincaid St, Burnaby, BC V5G 2X6. Cremation has taken place.
