Charlotte passed away in her sleep at 1:50 am on Friday, July 11, 2014. She kept her positive attitude during her courageous 13 month battle with cancer.
Charlotte was born in Glasgow, Scotland on December 29, 1945. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Elizabeth McConville and by her brother, Bernard. Survived by her husband, Iain; sisters, Margaret (Charlie) and Pauline (the late Paddy); brother, Peter and sister-in-law, Isabel; nieces and nephews in Scotland and Toronto, cousins in the UK and USA and many great friends in the Lower Mainland, Toronto, Alberta and Scotland.
Charlotte worked for KPMG for 28 years and made many great friends, some retired and some presently still working there. She loved most sports, NHL, NFL, CFL, tennis, golf and of course soccer; her favourite team being Glasgow Celtic. After Charlotte and Iain retired, they managed to travel to Mexico regularly, Scotland, Toronto, New Jersey, North Carolina and various other places in Canada and the USA.
Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church,1320 Johnson Street, Coquitlam, where Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or the St. Clare’s Building Fund.
