It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christel Marta Luem on August 31, 2017 after a brief illness. Christel was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law and oma. Her true joys in life were her family and her award winning garden.
Christel was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Josef, in August 2016 and by her eldest son, Joe, in July 2017. She is survived by sons Ron and Paul; daughters-in-law Marnie and Elke; grandsons Brendan and Jacob, as well as many extended family members in Germany.
Mom, you will be greatly missed and we hope you have found peace and happiness now that you have been reunited with Dad and Joe.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday September 21st, 2017 at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam, BC.
