Colin Sue

February 4, 1974 — August 12, 2022

Colin Cheng Keung Sue, a resident of Coquitlam, BC died unexpectedly on 12 August 2022 at the age of
48 while at Royal Columbian Hospital.
Colin is survived by his wife, Stacey Makortoff; his parents, Kam Hong and Yin Har Sou; his older brother,
Way Sue and his wife Lily and their sons Nathan, Ethan and Nolan; his younger sister, Lisa Sue and her
husband, Shawn Openshaw and their daughters, Maisie and Rayleigh; as well as aunts, uncles and
cousins from the Ngan, Zhao and Tsui families; and the extended Chay, Chan, and Fung families.
Colin was born in Guyana, and shortly after his first birthday, the family moved to England before
eventually settling down in Canada, where he met Stacey. Colin was a devoted husband, son and
brother. He enjoyed learning about and teaching others how to shoot firearms, playing badminton,
watching F1, and eating good food, particularly if he got to share it with good friends. His family paid this
tribute to him, “Colin was one of the kindest, funniest, dry humoured people you could ever meet and a
loyal friend. He loved his family unconditionally.”
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 1:30 pm at the St. Clare of Assisi
Parish Centre, 2888 Delahaye Drive, Coquitlam, BC.
Colin will be terribly missed by his loving family and friends and his legacy will live in their hearts and
minds.
In lieu of flowers the family would be honored if donations were made on his behalf at the Canadian Kidney
Foundation https://kidney.ca/Get-Involved/Make-a-Gift/In-Memory-Tribute-Donations
