It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of David Anthony Richards announces his passing on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the age of 82, with family at his side. David was born in Southampton, England and immigrated to Vancouver in 1957 with his good friend Alf Marley and Alf’s sister Margaret. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Louanne, his son Mark, his daughter Nancy (Darren), and his two grandchildren Zachary and Alexander. He will be greatly missed by his surviving brother Peter (Anne), sisters June (Tony), Pam (Peter), and Ann (Alan) and their families. David is predeceased by his brothers Gerald, Leslie, and Ron. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Monday, February 4th at St. Joseph’s Parish, 140 Moody St., Port Moody. Donations can be made to the Knowledge Network, St. Joseph’s Parish Building Fund, or the Parkinson's Society of BC. The family would especially like to thank the staff at Eagle Ridge Hospital for all their special care and support during David’s illness.
