It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, uncle, and friend. Don will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Survived by his father Gordon, his brother Glen (Barb), his niece Erin and nephew Ian. He is predeceased by his mother Alice.
Don grew up in East Vancouver attending Gladstone Secondary School then successfully completing his Carpentry Apprenticeship at BCIT. He moved to Burnaby and changed career direction spending many years working for Barry-Hamel Equipment Ltd. Don was a fan of baseball playing Little League at Nanaimo Park, competitive fastball then slow-pitch with his good friends. Don was a good-hearted person and a loyal friend to many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam, BC on May 29, 2015 at 10 am followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
