Donald Kayley was born in Blackpool, England on April 25, 1929. Don passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday May 31, 2014 at the age of 85. Don was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Eveline Kayley, brother Norman, sister Sylvia (Gordon) Stocks, and nephew Paul Stocks.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Doreen, son Neil (Kim) and daughter Jo-Anne; five grandchildren Lindsay, Scott and Julia Kayley, Scott and Dana Peterson. Family in England include brother Ernie (Sylvia), and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by many close family members in Alberta, Denise and Archie Doonanco, Diane and Doug Atkinson, Sean and Eric. Remembered by Debbie Stocks, Chris and Marie Stocks, and their family. As well as Darren and Kim Stocks and their family, and Lisa Marie, Aaron Thomson, Hannah and Noah.
Don will be remembered as a Legion, Phoenix and ACT New West Club member; and his passion for golf, hockey and soccer. A memorial service will be held at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam on Saturday June 7th at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
