Donald Spracklin

February 22, 1942 — December 13, 2021

Spracklin, Donald Murray was born on February 22, 1942 in Kelowna, and passed away December 13, 2021 at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by his mother Hazel Rose Harding, and father Richard Lloyd Spracklin. Murray’s life was filled with many exciting adventures. He loved dancing, fishing on the ocean, skiing, gardening, taking care of his house, socializing with his friends, playing Bridge, and watching sports. He spent his working years as a Real Estate Agent while residing in Burnaby.

Murray did encounter many challenges throughout his life, yet, over the years he proved to be a strong, resilient man who never surrendered. He had great pride living independently in his home until October 2021. He was very creative and always found a way around events that could have set him back. His determination to live as he wished, brought him great happiness. We continue to be in admiration of his determination. Murray is survived by his sister, Marian (Herb); son Scott (Arlene), granddaughter Kaya; daughter Cheryl (Oslay), and granddaughter Carmen Cecilia.

Murray was a loving son, father and grandfather and will be missed by family and friends.

The family plans to hold a Celebration of Life in 2022 with family and close friends. At this time, if you’d like to connect with the family to share your memories of Murray, please email sjspracklin@gmail.com
