Our loving Mama, Oma and Great Oma passed away peacefully with family at her side on January 15, 2015 at 97 years of age. Predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Hubert, she is lovingly remembered by her children Win, Roswitha (Ray), Andy (Diane), Bernadette (Wally) and Reg (Laura); grandchildren Chris, Amy, Eric, Andrea, Karsten, Nadine, Brad, Carla, Alex, Kayti, Christina, Ben, Jessica, Angela; great-grandchildren Carter, Brodie, Hayden, Olivia, Ella, Laurel, Troy and Theo.
Dorothy was born in Breslau, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1952, first to Saskatoon, then to Coquitlam in 1970. With great joy, she dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, music, singing, painting, and travelling.
Services to be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 3141 Shaughnessy St., Port Coquitlam, evening prayers at 6:30 pm Monday, Jan. 19; Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful care both Mom and Dad received at Hawthorne Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart of Hawthorne Foundation at 2111 Hawthorne Ave., Port Coquitlam, BC, V3C 1W3 or online at www.canadahelps.org.
