Edith emigrated from Northern Ireland to Edmonton, Alberta in 1956. She worked as a Custodian for the Edmonton Public School Board until she retired (1990). She moved to Coquitlam, BC (2001) and lived with Sebastien and Francine until 2022, when she went into long term care. While slight in stature, Edith had broad shoulders upon which she carried the life burdens that were visited upon her. Following the death of her husband, Edith developed strength and independence. She was a founding member of the Glen Pine Seniors Society and actively participated in their activities such as going to horse races, day trips and chair yoga.
