Emily Danielson

April 26, 1930 — April 7, 2021

Emily, 90 years old, passed away peacefully April 7, 2021 in West Vancouver.

Emily was born April 26, 1930 in Vernon. She is loved and missed by her two children Diane Cyr (Bill), and Carol Norberg (Eric). Emily is survived by seven grandchildren, Sonia Norberg (Kevin Monkhouse), Jessica
Legree (Patrick), Scott Norberg (Cathy), Johnny Norberg, Jennifer Pasini (Federico), Danielle Cyr, Kaitlin Wu, (Benson). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Emily-Rose, Isabella, Joseph, Maxwell, Taylor and
laria.

Emily is predeceased by her mother, Marie Michalski in 2005, her brother, Sam Michalski in 2000, and her former husband, Arnold Robert Danielson in 1984.

Emily was married in 1952 and relocated to Vancouver with her husband in 1954. They enjoyed spending time with their children. Many vacation trips to the Okanagan were made where they had fun swimming in the lakes and bringing home various produce. Also, numerous lake fishing trips in the Interior and a trip to Disneyland. A favorite card game of theirs was Canasta.

Emily remained in her Vancouver home for 58 years and relocated to North Vancouver in 2012. Her final move was in 2021 to West Vancouver.

Emily worked as a bookkeeper/accountant for Mohawk Oil Co. Ltd. for over 25 years. During her working years she traveled with her family to Hawaii and Palm Springs. She retired at the age of 55 and continued her travels with family to Toronto, Montreal, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore.

Emily’s favorite pass times in retirement were reading books and gardening. She also liked hosting dinners/barbeques with her family. Her recipes continue to be used and enjoyed by her family. She continued her learning with family by taking night school classes in flower arranging, cake decorating, candle and bow making. Many birthday cakes were greatly appreciated with her creative talents. She was a very kind, generous and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Emily had a love for animals. During the winter months she would feed the wild birds in her backyard. Her great love was her precious toy poodle, Cuddles. Her second and last toy poodle, Misty, was deeply loved as well.

Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on May 1, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Burnaby.
