With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beautiful Mother, Stella, a caring, kind and fun-loving woman to all who knew her.
Predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, Keith, her parents Thomas and Alma Wood, her sister Fran and best friend/sister-in-law, Gayle, Stella is survived by her children, Brent (Jessica), Kevin (Maria), Jodi (Geoff) and Pam (Marke), her grandchildren Brooke, Alex, Blaire, Ethan, Amanda (Gord), Ashley and her brother Warren.
Stella was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1940 where she attended school making lifelong friends at a very early age. In high school, she met Keith with a "splash" and so began 62 years of building their long and beautiful life together. Moves to Regina, Port Coquitlam and travelling for three years in retirement before settling in Surrey, BC kept life busy.
Mom's pride and joy were her kids and her commitment to our lives was extraordinary. The grandchildren were the apples of Mom's eyes. Though family was top priority, Mom enjoyed her work life with the Saskatchewan
Government and Sears Canada.
All her life, Mom easily made friends wherever she went. When out running errands and shopping, rare were the times when she didn't run into someone that she knew. Mom loved to bake, delighted in hosting family dinners, hated to miss out on anything and would lend a hand whenever it was needed. Mom had a full and wonderful life.
The family wishes to thank the teams at Queens Park Care Centre and Nicola Lodge for their care.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11am at St. Clare of Assisi Hall, 2888 Delahaye Dr, Coquitlam, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's name to the
Alzheimer Society of BC
would be greatly appreciated.
